Is this perhaps the most luxurious TUI BLUE hotel? I believe so. In any case, it felt very upscale and exclusive. I was a guest at The Residence at TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra Fethiye and was truly pampered.

Relatively far away from Fethiye. You have to take a taxi to get into town. The dolmus (minibus) does not go past the hotel.
Where is the The Residence at TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra Fethiye located?
The 5-star hotel is located directly on the beach on the outskirts of Fethiye on the Turkish Aegean coast, about 13 km from the old town. Unfortunately, there is no minibus connection to the city centre, so you have to take a taxi. I’ve explored Fethiye and you should definitely dedicate a day to the city. But why leave this paradise at all? 😉
The nearest airport is Dalaman with many flights from the UK and quite few (and expensive) flights from central Europe.
Who is The Residence at TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra Fethiye suitable for?
The hotel is an adults-only hotel for guests aged 16 and above. Accordingly, it is quiet and relaxed. Most guests come from the United Kingdom, with the rest from Turkey and other countries. Those looking for action are in the wrong place here. Those who enjoy relaxing on a lounger by the pool or beach and appreciate very good food are in the right place. The complex consists of a huge pool landscape surrounded by palm trees. It strongly reminded me of tropical hotel complexes like in the Dominican Republic, including a swim-up bar. All the stresses of the journey are immediately forgotten when you arrive at the hotel – it’s a dream in turquoise and blue!
My tip: the hotel is the perfect place for proposals, honeymoons, babymoons, and beach weddings!
How is the all-inclusive at The Residence at TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra in Fethiye?
The all-inclusive dining at The Residence at TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra in Fethiye is top-notch! Instead of buffets, the hotel focuses on an à la carte selection. For breakfast, for example, you have a choice of many egg specialities like Eggs Benedict or freshly baked waffles with various toppings – and of course everything else you could wish for at breakfast. There are 3 restaurants and 3 bars. Additionally, you can use the restaurants of the neighbouring TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra Fethiye hotel free of charge!
During the day, you can find Turkish, Mediterranean and international specialities, as well as vegetarian and vegan options, and gluten-free upon request at several locations across the hotel grounds. One thing I haven’t seen before in an all-inclusive hotel is the selection of desserts that are included. In the lobby, there is a counter with a patisserie-style selection of petit fours. The poor staff member was trying to serve me, but I was in a state of shock for minutes and couldn’t decide – system overload. In addition, there is an ice cream counter with very good ice cream. Rarely have I felt so sorry that I couldn’t fit more into myself! I could spend hours just admiring the petit fours (and would love to lick the plate clean!).

- Sunset dinner at the “Balkon” with fish and seafood
- Pistachio ice cream from the ice cream counter
- Grilled watermelon with cave cheese from the evening menu at “Cuphea” – an unusual but irresistible combination!
- Oyster mushrooms glazed with yuzu (Japanese citrus fruit) – alongside the Turkish side dishes, a multi-layered vegetarian fusion dish
- Changing theme evenings in the main restaurant
- “The Purple” cocktail with yuzu, elderberry and butterfly pea tea

What are the rooms like at The Residence at TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra Fethiye?
The hotel was particularly generous with me and gave me the Penthouse Suite with a hot tub. Admittedly, it was a bit large for me alone, but as a couple, it would be an absolute dream and pure luxury. With a dressing room, a bathtub in the room, a huge bed and TV, and a large terrace with a hot tub. From the terrace, you can see the pine forest and the sea beyond. All the drinks in the minibar are included. A member of staff accompanies you to your room and explains everything important. I was truly overwhelmed!

Not that the other rooms aren’t beautiful, but if you’re staying here, be sure to book a swim-up room. The swim-up pools wind their way through the hotel grounds and are enormous! A dream is also the villa with direct access to the swim-up pool. It will make a real impression on social media when you post a photo of your “villa with pool”. 😉
How is the hotel beach?
A small pine grove separates the hotel grounds from the beach. The beach is a sand/pebble beach, and I would recommend wearing water shoes for sensitive feet. There are plenty of loungers (free of charge) and daybeds (for a fee) available on the beach, and drinks are even brought to you from the beach bar. With the stunning view, you could simply doze the day away on the beach, and it would be anything but wasted!
My tip: Surprise your loved one with a romantic candlelit dinner for two on the beach. It would also be a top location for a marriage proposal. If you want to go all out, there is champagne available for €700! 😀

Wellness, sports and entertainment at the hotel
The look into the programme in the BLUE App reveals that the focus of this adults-only hotel is more on relaxation than on action. The hotel therefore offers more meditation classes, yoga classes and progressive muscle relaxation courses than intensive sports activities. If you do want something more strenuous, you can book your private session with the BLUEf!t trainer via the app, who will create a tailored training programme for you that you can then repeat on your own in the gym whenever you want. For those who aren’t into that, you can participate in one of the edutainment courses, such as the cocktail mixing class.
You can use the sports and leisure facilities of the neighbouring TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra Fethiye hotel! It is right next door. The evening entertainment is also less focused on a disco atmosphere and more on a lounge vibe, so you can relax and sip your drinks while listening to talented musicians.
Last but not least, the spa: Fitting for the hotel, it is very large and stylishly furnished. This is the place to come for a luxurious hammam experience, but they also offer classic and exotic massages. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time for a treatment, but during my tour, the spa gave a very clean, relaxing and professional impression.
What can one do around the hotel?
You should definitely check out the sights of Fethiye, such as the rock tombs of Telmessos or the Archaeological Museum. You should also visit the Calis Beach, which is the most famous and beautiful beach in Fethiye, and enjoy the beach life and nightlife there.
The abandoned village of Kayaköy, located just half an hour from Fethiye, is particularly impressive. The village was abandoned as a result of the Greek-Turkish population exchange and has been decaying with a macabre charm for 100 years. Another highlight and practically world-famous is Ölüdeniz with its iconic beach. You can either have a quiet day in the paradisiacal lagoon or take the cable car up to the nearby mountain Babadag and glide paragliding with a rush of adrenaline towards the dream beach.
Sustainability at The Residence at TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra Fethiye
That the hotel focuses on sustainability can already be seen at check-in. The all-inclusive wristband is made of wood and cotton string. It looks really cute and avoids plastic. Plastic is also avoided wherever possible: with the straws, with the amenities in the bathroom… There is only a partial buffet at breakfast, otherwise everything is à la carte, which reduces food waste. In addition to waste separation, energy supply is a major issue. Together with the sister hotel TUI BLUE Sensatori Akra Fethiye, it is supplied with electricity by a central solar system, which is part of TUI’s solar offensive.
At the reception, there are pens available for purchase, with the proceeds going to the local animal shelter!
