TUI BLUE Seno: The lightness of being at the Turkish Aegean Sea

A place where time seems to pass weightlessly and you want to capture the moment forever – such a place is the TUI BLUE Seno. The Adults-only hotel on the Turkish Aegean is uniquely beautiful in Sarigerme Bay. I checked it out for you in October 2019 and would love to beam over there right now.

Where is the TUI BLUE Seno located?

The TUI BLUE Seno is terraced on different levels, nestled into a pine hillside in Sarigerme Bay. Restaurants, residential buildings and pools therefore have different views to offer depending on their location – and they are awesome! Dalaman airport is only a 20 minutes transfer drive away. The hotel grounds cover 300,000 m² and are home to more than 500 trees. The residential buildings are embedded in the pine forest and are thus reminiscent of the TUI BLUE Marmaris. There is a shuttle service on the hotel grounds for those who are lazy about walking, which runs up and down regularly.

Who is the TUI BLUE Seno suitable for?

TUI BLUE Seno is an adults-only hotel with a minimum age of 16. So it’s perfect for couples, friends and siblings who want a relaxed holiday without children (alternatives with children right next door: the TUI BLUE Sarigerme Park and the TUI BLUE Tropical). The TUI BLUE Seno is a hotel for connoisseurs who appreciate a high-quality all-inclusive offer, for whom a sports programme is important, who want to relax in the spa and expect a local touch from the hotel. The Turkish hospitality is unique and you will feel very comfortable and welcome as soon as you arrive. All those who were fans of the TUI BLUE Marmaris will also be happy at the TUI BLUE Seno. And last but not least, the TUI BLUE Seno is very presentable on Instagram if you want to impress others.

What kind of catering does TUI BLUE Seno offer?

Let’s move on to what I consider the most important thing on holiday: the food. Thanks to all-inclusive, you can go restaurant and bar hopping in the hotel. No matter where you are on the hotel grounds, you are never far from one of the 4 restaurants and 5 bars. There is plenty of Turkish-Mediterranean cuisine including great locations by the pool or overlooking the bay. Buffets, à-la-carte, snacks, cocktails, smoothies, Turkish wine (yes, there are excellent Turkish wines), low carb, lactose-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, barbecue… There is something for everyone. And since we are in Turkey, everything is twice as delicious! We had lunch at the buffet in the main restaurant. It’s one of those buffets where you realise there are 20 other things you want to try, but your plate (and stomach) is already full. And additionally the view of the pool and the sea….

But tomorrow is another day to try all the goodies! Fun Fact: Olive trees grow on the hotel grounds and the home-grown olives are available exclusively for guests.

Does the TUI BLUE Seno offer any sports activities?

If you’re already worried about your waistline, you should either bring stretch clothes or take part in the BLUEf!t sports programme. Here’s how to keep fit at the TUI BLUE Seno:

  • Group classes with a professional BLUEf!t guide, e.g. yoga, functional training, barbell training … some of them in the outdoor fitness area with a great view
  • the possibility to play with other guests, e.g. tennis, beach volleyball
  • a gym with a sea view
  • guided mountain bike tours
  • or simply walk up and down the hotel grounds! After all, that’s at least 100 metres of altitude.

How many pools does TUI BLUE Seno have?

The TUI BLUE Seno has 4 pools spread across the hotel grounds. On the beach, we were surprised by the unusual natural stone pool. At first glance, it looks like a natural formation. At about mid-height, another pool is quite hidden in the “Secret Garden”. It is very quiet here even in high season. My favourites, however, are the two infinity pools, which are staggered one above the other in the upper part of the hotel complex. A staircase with a sun terrace (many daybeds!) connects the two pools. There is also the stage where events such as concerts or shows take place in the evenings.

Oh, these fabulous infinity pools, which no photo in the world can convey the mood they evoke. We were completely taken by the lightness of being in front of this dreamlike backdrop. Lie down on one of the daybeds, their white sheets gently swaying with the breeze, and let yourself be mesmerised by the blue of the sky, the sea and the pools. You want to snap your finger to freeze this moment forever.

What is the beach like at the TUI BLUE Seno?

For some people, just lying by the pool and looking at the sea is enough (which I can quite understand at the TUI BLUE Seno). But the secluded bay is definitely worth a visit every day. Seno is Spanish and means “bay of the sea” and hotel guests have this bay practically to themselves because the beach is only accessible via the sea or the hotel grounds. There are sunbeds and umbrellas galore, the bar with drinks and snacks is around the corner and the clear water on the sandy-pebbly beach is ideal for swimming and water sports (diving, canoeing…). An external provider is PADI certified. My tip for a relaxing end to the day on the water is a trip on a catamaran. Among other things, we once visited the neighbouring Hare Island.

What are the rooms like at the TUI BLUE Seno?

My personal tip are the suites at the very top of the hotel complex. These are brand new and logically have the best view of the bay. The rooms are very dignified and elegantly furnished with natural materials and in warm earthy tones. There is a whirlpool in the bedroom, the shower has a window to the room (yeah baby!) and the view from the balcony simply leaves you speechless. Great for couples in love! All rooms and suites have satellite TV and Wi-Fi and the minibar is included.

Is there a spa at the TUI BLUE Seno?

Ok, actually the hotel has 5 pools. I forgot about the indoor pool at the spa. The hamam is extraordinary. It is surrounded by water like an island and has beautiful oriental decorations on the ceiling and walls. Just looking at it made me feel like I was in another world. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to try out the spa and I’m still sorry about that! From the relaxation area you can see – you guessed it – the glittering sea.

Conclusion: Top hotel on the Turkish Aegean for adults seeking peace and quiet!
