Summer holidays in Berlin always start quite early, so we were one of the first guests at the wonderful TUI BLUE Sarigerme Park in southwest Turkey right after it reopened at the beginning of July. This proud 140,000 sqm resort is a true holiday paradise. It is almost a tradition in our family that I, as an aunt, take a trip with my nephew Justus in the summer.

Leisure fun in the holiday paradise TUI BLUE Sarigerme Park
After Justus’ school trip was cancelled, we had to find a destination with lots of activities and a pool. We took a direct flight from the new capital city airport to Dalaman. Dalaman airport is only a 20-minute transfer from TUI BLUE Resort Sarıgerme Park. The resort is located not far from the village of Sarıgerme at the mouth of the Sarısu River to the Aegean Sea, between Dalyan and Fethiye, and is only about 50 km away from the Greek island of Rhodes.
Action vs. chilling out
As soon as we arrived, we took a closer look at the park area of the TUI BLUE Sarigerme Park, which is actually almost like an entire settlement. The resort resembles a botanical garden full of exotic plants, even a turtle crossed our path. The resort is divided into a main building and many very inviting bungalow houses. Fans of various activities such as water sports, fitness, beach volleyball, tennis, yoga, archery and much more will get their money’s worth at every turn. For the little ones, there is a whole kids’ area with entertainment. If you stroll through the complex, you’ll be tempted by the sea along with the restaurant and bar.
By far, we can recommend everything from cakes to the perhaps most delicious watermelons to the freshly made gözleme. Those who want to book tennis lessons can do so via the BLUE App, as always. Land and sea excursions can also be booked here. We were a bit lazy this time and just chilled out a lot and of course tried our hand at tennis. It was great fun and, of course, not without its summer temperatures.
If you fancy a wellness treatment or a really good massage, you should definitely visit the spa area, where special rates can also be arranged for several appointments. Definitely recommendable!
Travelling in Corona times
The resort in Sarigerme reopened its doors on 1 July and the staff are prepared for all forms of travel in Corona times. Unfortunately, you can no longer help yourself to food at the buffet, but maybe that’s for the best 🙂 Masks are compulsory in indoor areas like the main restaurant or in buffet areas, otherwise you can be quite relaxed at the pool & such. The hygiene concept of the TUI BLUE Sarigerme Park is carried out in an absolutely exemplary manner, as far as we laymen could see. A team of doctors also came to take Justus’ covid-19 test for his departure. We very much appreciated how eager everyone was to make us holidaymakers have a good time.
Baklava, Chai & Co
Anyone who has ever been to Turkey knows that Turkish food is simply great, besides the sea, the pool and everything. Of course, in addition to köfte, BBQ, delicious grilled vegetables, simit and lots of feta cheese, pasta and schnitzel are also served. But we recommend everyone from simit to sucuk and lots of vegetables with such deliciously prepared rice to feast on the local cuisine at TUI BLUE Sarigerme Park. A chai is not to be missed either. We took the tea ritual straight home with us!
