A total of four pool facilities provide fresh cooling. I can highly recommend the relax pool “Arrecifes”, there you can relax in the Balinese daybeds and especially cuddle undisturbed.

You are more in the mood for variety on your couples vacation in Mexico? The hotel offers six times a week different daily activities such as cocktail and cooking classes. Mia Casa Dorado is hands-down the most romantic spot on the property. Think candlelit tables, elegant Italian villa vibes with air conditioning, and five-star Italian cuisine that’ll have you planning your next visit before you’ve even finished dessert. Book ahead for this one – it’s popular with couples for a reason.
For an authentic Mexican experience, head to La Carreta. This traditional à la carte serves up tortilla soup, ceviche, tacos and perfectly grilled prawns. But here’s the real treat: the Tequila Bar La Cantina in the same building offers over a dozen house-made flavoured tequilas – coconut, chilli, coffee, you name it. It’s a proper taste adventure!
Culinarium, the resort’s signature restaurant, does double duty with à la carte breakfast specials and themed evening meals revolving around seafood, sunsets and local delicacies. The sunset timing? Chef’s kiss.
Fancy something lighter? Kaab Vegan Restaurant sits right on the beachfront, serving creative plant-based dishes at lunchtime. Even if you’re not vegan, it’s worth a visit – the fresh flavours and beachside location make it feel like a real treat.

During the day, you’ve got plenty of laid-back options. Driftwood Restaurant by the pool serves fresh seafood dishes like ceviche and aguachiles, whilst Barbeque Frontera is paradise for meat lovers – think ribs, flank steak, Mexican sausage and Argentine choripán sandwiches ?. The Sandwicherie offers wood-fired pizzas, fish & chips and burritos with grab-and-go service.
The two main buffet restaurants – Seaside Market (with themed nights like Mexican dinner shows and Caribbean evenings) and beachfront Arrecifes – round out the dining options beautifully.
Bars for every mood
With 11 bars across the resort, you’re never far from a cold drink. Three swim-up bars (Colibri, Gaviotas and Arrecifes) mean you don’t even need to leave the pool ?♀️. Guacamayas Bar hosts live bands in the evenings, whilst Mezcalito Bar specialises in traditional Mexican spirits. There’s even beach waiter service from 9am to 5pm, so you can stay put on your sun lounger.
Our tip: Pop into La Cantina for a tequila tasting before dinner – the bartenders are passionate about their craft and love sharing the stories behind each flavour.
Quick note: The Klay Talay Asian Restaurant requires an additional charge, and there’s also a romantic Dinner on the Beach option for private celebrations (both bookable in advance). Men should pack smart shorts for dinner – swimwear and flip-flops stay in the room after sunset.

Romantic sailing trip on the Riviera Maya
How about a romantic boat trip into the wonderful sunset on the sea? In the marina of Puerto Aventuras there are various boat and sailing tours available. From the marina you can set off to the Caribbean Sea: enjoy the fresh wind on deck and the view of the coastal landscape of the Riviera Maya. One of the highlights of the tour is certainly and the stop at Isla Mujeres. The island off Cancún is a popular destination for snorkeling and swimming.
The turquoise and clear water is so tempting, you just have to jump into the sea. From the boat the island is also a great photo motif – say cheese 😉 With the evening sun on your face you go back to Puerto Aventuras. Snuggled up in blankets, we watch the beautiful sunset. My tip: Put your camera or smartphone aside and enjoy the wonderful moment 😉
Discover cenotes in Mexico
If you want to spend a romantic holiday in Mexico, you will not miss a special holiday experience: The Cenotes.
Cenotes are subterranean basins, mostly of volcanic origin and like from another world. Scattered rays of sunshine glisten on the turquoise water inside the caves, mysteriously entwining lianas and ferns descend into the underground lakes. #romantic purple
Already the Maya are said to have used these cave systems as religious sites. A special, mystical atmosphere, which you should not miss.
And on your excursion into the fascinating Mexican jungle you can look forward to one of the most beautiful cenotes on the Mayan Riviera. In the clear water, which is often crossed by freshwater currents, you can enjoy snorkeling and swimming. Let yourself drift with your loved one or your loved one in this paradise, watch the many fish and of course take great photos 🙂 #cenote
Snorkeling with turtles on the reef
After this experience we continue to the beautiful white, Caribbean sandy beaches of the Riviera Maya. Accompanied by a guide, you may set off in a small group for an unforgettable snorkeling tour: Explore the beautiful reef with its colourful underwater creatures and corals and swim with the sea turtles. This great encounter will surely remain in our memories for a long time: Without rush and incredibly relaxed, the impressive animals can be peacefully drifted through the warm water. Be sure to take a camera or GoPro with you and take pictures of the sea creatures so that you have a nice memory. But: please do not touch them!

Taco tour in Playa Del Carmen
As is well known, love goes through the stomach – for us this means: typical and authentic cuisine. In Playa del Carmen, only half an hour drive from the hotel, you can find out everything about the most famous snack and the unofficial national dish of Mexico: the taco, at a Taco-Tour. The small corn tortillas, which are filled with different kinds of meat, fresh coriander, chopped onions and a fiery-hot salsa, are traditionally eaten out of the hand. The Taquerias, the stalls, offer a tasty snack all day long.
The taco tour starts at the street market of Playa del Carmen. These smells, these flavours! That alone makes my mouth water and I am really looking forward to finally trying the famous tacos. Don’t worry: on your tour you will stop at several shops and you will be able to taste the traditional taco recipes.
Of course a drink is included:
Pulque, the so-called “Aztec beer” made from fermented agave juice, you must not miss. With this we toast our love holiday and feast through the different kinds of tacos.

Here you can spend a wonderful holiday for two or your honeymoon in Mexico together: With a white beach and the turquoise blue sea in front of the door, wonderful large pool areas to relax and excellent local gourmet offers in the various restaurants.
I would also like to emphasize the staff: the incredibly nice employees read every wish from your eyes. Don’t go – there’s no such thing! So you can fully enjoy your romantic vacation in Mexico every single second.
